Update from Andy:

Fought in KC's "battle of the Northland" on Friday. I beat my opponent at 0:45 of the 2nd round with a forearm choke supplemented with punches to the head.

A good time was had by all.

Interesting question SCD. The Swastika is indeed associated with the Aryans, but the Aryan movement is over 5000 years old! Yes! It was the Aryan nomads that developed Sanskrit on their way to India, and there, they combined with the native groups in the Indus Valley and that was the beginning of Indian culture. The Swastika itself is a symbol of good fortune and is considered auspicious in India. So you see, the Aryans ROCK and the Swastika rocks and they have nothing to do with Nazis (I actually have no idea what Hitler was talking about.... Aryans were *NOT* blonde and if they were in Germany it was like a pit stop).

I'm glad I have people that are so interested in history checking my website....

Super Curious dummy | 07 Dec : 16:19
What's with that weird Swastika firecracker anyway? Are all Indians Nazis?

Aryan Power is NOT cool!

Namaste! We must meditate together to see the universe as it really is... Some see Amit as a Monkey, others as a Kitty... OHM, OHM. There must be a common denominator here... Let us meditate to find the truth!

My post-processing methodology
Amit on Saturday 15 March 2008 - 22:36:43 | Read/Post Comment: 0

OK, so it seems like photography is going to be part of my life for some amount of time. Because of this, I have realized that I need a post-processing system to stick to rigorously in order to not misplace a file (already did), have unnecessary duplicates (I did), lose folders of data (I lost my whole christmas family session), and just to not go crazy.

Using this method accomplishes the following:

1) Ensures complete redundancy so you never lose a file again
2) Makes the PP exercise as quick as possible
3) (maybe) Minimizes the amount of storage you need on your laptop

What I recommend is setting up an "ALBUM DUMP" folder on an external drive. Then backing that up on another external drive (that's not in the same physical location) Or on a website. I'd have one external at home, and one at the office, bringing it home to sync every once in a while or setting up a remote operation.

Anyway, try this out, and let me know if you want the original ppt to rename folders as you see fit. Enjoy!

Living life and time management.

Prof. Randy Pausch is a Carnegie Mellon professor diagnosed with (read DYING FROM) cancer. His time is limited which gives him an interesting perspective on life and time management.

A good video 10 minute video on life (this is the Oprah abreviated version... the original longer one can be found here):

A slightly long, but quite inciteful video on TIME MANAGEMENT:

I've been looking for a free way to do this for a LONG time. Finally found something that works great....it installs a driver to PRINT TO PDF instead of using paper. It wastes less paper and is in all other ways super-cool (thanks Sebastien).

PDF-FORGE

If you don't want to install anything on your computer, you can use this other one to do it online. You have to give them your email address (as they email the document to you), but I haven't seen any increase in spam:
